Community Safety; the streets are safe but people don't feel safe

A fantastic radio program on "Community Safety", today, Fri 19 Oct 2007.

There isn't really a crime wave, it is people's perception.
* People aren't walking on the streets, so they don't feel safe.
* "Stranger Danger" is a myth, but people don't let their kids walk to school, or play in the street.
